Removing clear coat from powder coated bike?
i have a bicycle frame that i had powder coated, then after that i sprayed some rattle can clear coat on top of it. It’s been some time now and the clear coat doesn’t seem like it was such a good idea anymore.
I’m curious how i can remove the clear coat without hurting the paint that’s underneath it. I have some Jasco paint thinner handy and i was thinking of putting it on ASSUMING the paint thinner will not be strong enough to mess up the powder coating (and applying only for a short time) and will remove the clear coat.
Is this a good idea or are there better ways out there?
